Un consortium belge a lanc\u00e9 le projet OncoCare@Home afin de fournir un syst\u00e8me de surveillance structurelle \u00e0 domicile aux patients belges atteints de cancer. Dans les ann\u00e9es \u00e0 venir, ils seront surveill\u00e9s depuis leur domicile \u00e0 l'aide de pansements intelligents. L'objectif est de r\u00e9duire de 10 % le nombre d'admissions \u00e0 l'h\u00f4pital et d'am\u00e9liorer la qualit\u00e9 et l'esp\u00e9rance de vie des malades.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le syst\u00e8me de surveillance structurelle OncoCare@Home mesure en permanence les valeurs des patients atteints d'un cancer. Ce dernier est reli\u00e9 \u00e0 l'ensemble de l'\u00e9quipe m\u00e9dicale : du sp\u00e9cialiste \u00e0 l'infirmi\u00e8re \u00e0 domicile. Le dispositif de suivi leur permet de r\u00e9agir rapidement aux infections ou aux \u00e9ventuels effets secondaires du traitement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OncoCare@Home<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

OncoCare@Home a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce au cluster flanders.healthTech spearhead et au VLAIO (Agence pour l'innovation et l'entreprise). Ils soutiennent le projet \u00e0 hauteur d'un million d'euros. Le consortium est compos\u00e9 des partenaires Byteflies (d\u00e9veloppeur de wearables), nexuzhealth (fournisseur de portails pour les patients), le Wit-Gele Kruis Oost-Vlaanderen, l'Institut du cancer de Louvain et l'UZ Leuven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hans Danneels, co-PDG de Byteflies<\/a>, se r\u00e9jouit de la mise en place d\u2019un tel projet. \u00ab Nous sommes tr\u00e8s heureux de pouvoir travailler avec ces partenaires pour contribuer \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer le pronostic et la qualit\u00e9 de vie des patients atteints de cancer. Dans un premier temps, nous nous concentrerons sur le d\u00e9veloppement d'un syst\u00e8me adapt\u00e9 aux diff\u00e9rents tableaux cliniques que pr\u00e9sente un patient atteint de cancer, tant pendant la phase de traitement que pendant la p\u00e9riode de r\u00e9tablissement. Nous envisageons une solution conviviale qui prendra la forme d'un pl\u00e2tre intelligent. Le patient se le collera lui-m\u00eame et ses valeurs seront surveill\u00e9es 24 heures sur 24, 7 jours sur 7. Ce syst\u00e8me a d\u00e9j\u00e0 prouv\u00e9 sa valeur ajout\u00e9e dans d'autres maladies chroniques, tant en termes de facilit\u00e9 d'utilisation pour le patient que pour les sp\u00e9cialistes et le personnel hospitalier. <\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

D\u00e9tecter les effets secondaires<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Cette ann\u00e9e, les partenaires impliqu\u00e9s se concentrent sur le d\u00e9veloppement du syst\u00e8me de suivi<\/a>. Une phase de test suivra l'ann\u00e9e prochaine, qui pourra \u00eatre achev\u00e9e apr\u00e8s 12 mois. L'ambition du consortium est de suivre environ 10 000 patients belges avec OncoCare@Home d'ici 2027. Les essais cliniques auront lieu \u00e0 l'UZ Leuven et au Leuven Cancer Institute (LCI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michel Delforge, pr\u00e9sident du LKI explique la valeur ajout\u00e9 d\u2019OncoCare@Home. \u00ab Les traitements actuels du cancer sont de plus en plus efficaces, mais ils doivent souvent \u00eatre administr\u00e9s sur une longue p\u00e9riode et chaque traitement peut avoir des effets secondaires sp\u00e9cifiques. Certains d\u2019entre eux sont g\u00eanants, d'autres peuvent \u00eatre dangereux. Pensez aux infections ou \u00e0 la toxicit\u00e9 cardiaque. Si nous pouvons d\u00e9tecter plus rapidement les effets secondaires et mieux les surveiller par le biais du t\u00e9l\u00e9monitoring, nous pourrons am\u00e9liorer non seulement la qualit\u00e9 de vie, mais aussi l'esp\u00e9rance de vie de certains patients atteints de cancer.<\/em> \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le dossier \u00e9lectronique du patient comme point central<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Nexuzhealth est charg\u00e9 d'importer et de traiter les donn\u00e9es du patient dans leur dossier \u00e9lectronique. Les m\u00e9decins traitants et les \u00e9quipes de soins \u00e0 l'h\u00f4pital peuvent ainsi acc\u00e9der en ligne aux r\u00e9sultats des mesures d'OncoCare@Home. Il leur donne la possibilit\u00e9 d'interpr\u00e9ter les donn\u00e9es et d\u2019en recouper d\u2019autres comme les ant\u00e9c\u00e9dents m\u00e9dicaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gertie Delande, PDG de nexuzhealth ajoute que leur plus-value r\u00e9side dans leur expertise technique. \u00ab Nous savons mettre en place des plateformes, la capture et le traitement des donn\u00e9es pour aboutir \u00e0 une solution conviviale et orient\u00e9e vers le patient.
