En collaboration avec l\u2019universit\u00e9 Ucla et l'entreprise Biogen, il souhaite utiliser des biomarqueurs num\u00e9riques pour d\u00e9tecter ces troubles \u00e0 un stade pr\u00e9coce. L'objectif serait de cr\u00e9er une nouvelle fonctionnalit\u00e9 permettant d'indiquer aux utilisateurs s'ils souffrent d'une maladie mentale.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>D\u2019apr\u00e8s le dernier rapport publi\u00e9 dans le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/apple-wants-iphones-to-help-detect-depression-cognitive-decline-sources-say-11632216601\"><em>Wall Street Journal<\/em>,<\/a> Apple intensifie ses efforts en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9. L'entreprise veut prouver que les nombreuses donn\u00e9es collect\u00e9es par ses appareils peuvent offrir de pr\u00e9cieux diagnostics. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un nouvel algorithme, le g\u00e9ant High-tech pourrait d\u00e9velopper une application capable de d\u00e9celer des maladies mentales.<\/p>\n<p>La d\u00e9pression est un trouble courant aux \u00c9tats-Unis. Selon les Centres am\u00e9ricains de contr\u00f4le et de pr\u00e9vention des maladies (CDC), 4,7 % des adultes de plus de 18 ans \u00e9prouvent r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement des sentiments d\u00e9pressifs. Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, les m\u00e9decins et les technologues ont \u00e9tudi\u00e9 comment les biomarqueurs num\u00e9riques peuvent aider \u00e0 suivre les patients atteints de maladies mentales. La division de psychiatrie num\u00e9rique de Beth Israel, par exemple, a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 un outil sp\u00e9cifique. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un dispositif qui enregistre des donn\u00e9es actives, telles que des enqu\u00eates et des tests cognitifs. Mais aussi des donn\u00e9es passives : journaux d'acc\u00e9l\u00e9rom\u00e8tre GPS et ceux des appels t\u00e9l\u00e9phoniques. Les patients analysent les informations collect\u00e9es lors d\u2019une consultation avec leur m\u00e9decin.<\/p>\n<h3>Vers un diagnostic plus pr\u00e9coce ?<\/h3>\n<p>\u00c0 en croire le<em> Wall Street Journal<\/em>, Apple s\u2019est associ\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019universit\u00e9 de Californie \u00e0 Los Angeles (Ucla) et \u00e0 la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 pharmaceutique Biogen pour plancher sur une mani\u00e8re de d\u00e9tecter la d\u00e9pression. Leur collaboration devrait durer trois ans. Le temps n\u00e9cessaire pour \u00e9tudier le lien entre les sympt\u00f4mes d\u00e9pressifs et les biomarqueurs recueillis par les outils num\u00e9riques. Dans cette \u00e9tude, les chercheurs examineront les donn\u00e9es de l'iPhone, de l'Apple Watch et du dispositif de surveillance du sommeil Beddit.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab <em>Cette collaboration, qui s'appuie sur la profonde expertise de l'UCLA en mati\u00e8re de recherche et sur la technologie innovante d'Apple, a le potentiel de transformer la recherche sur la sant\u00e9 comportementale et les soins cliniques<\/em> \u00bb, a affirm\u00e9 le Dr Nelson Freimer, professeur de psychiatrie et chercheur principal de l'\u00e9tude. \u00ab <em>Les approches actuelles du traitement de la d\u00e9pression reposent presque enti\u00e8rement sur les souvenirs subjectifs des patients d\u00e9pressifs. Il s'agit d'une \u00e9tape importante pour obtenir des informations objectives et pr\u00e9cises afin de guider le diagnostic et le traitement.<\/em> \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>En janvier dernier, Biogen a annonc\u00e9 s\u2019associer \u00e0 Apple pour \u00e9tudier le r\u00f4le de l'Apple Watch et de l'iPhone dans le suivi des performances cognitives et le d\u00e9pistage des troubles cognitifs l\u00e9gers. La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 pharmaceutique s'int\u00e9resse depuis longtemps au d\u00e9clin cognitif. Elle commercialise d'ailleurs un m\u00e9dicament controvers\u00e9 contre la maladie d'Alzheimer, Aduhelm.<\/p>\n<h3>L'accent sur la sant\u00e9<\/h3>\n<p>Le fait qu'Apple cherche \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper cette nouvelle fonctionnalit\u00e9 n'est pas une surprise. Apr\u00e8s tout, le titan de la Silicon Valley innove depuis un certain temps dans le secteur de la sant\u00e9. L'<a href=\"https:\/\/smarthealth.live\/fr\/2021\/09\/22\/apple-se-concentre-sur-la-sante-de-ses-utilisateurs\/\">Apple Watch actuelle<\/a> va d\u00e9j\u00e0 bien au-del\u00e0 du simple comptage des pas et de la mesure du rythme cardiaque. En 2018, l'entreprise a fait les gros titres lorsqu'elle a d\u00e9croch\u00e9 une autorisation de novo pour une fonction ECG sur sa smartwacht. Depuis, la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 a ajout\u00e9 une mesure de VO2 Max et d'autres options \u00e0 ses montres.<\/p>\n<p>La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 a \u00e9galement int\u00e9gr\u00e9 davantage de fonctionnalit\u00e9s sur ses iPhones. En juin, elle a annonc\u00e9 <a href=\"https:\/\/smarthealth.live\/fr\/2021\/06\/14\/apple-souhaite-mieux-prendre-soin-de-votre-sante\/\">une nouvelle fonction de partage.<\/a> Cette derni\u00e8re permet aux utilisateurs de communiquer leurs donn\u00e9es personnelles \u00e0 leurs m\u00e9decins et leur famille. Une fonction de stabilit\u00e9 de la d\u00e9marche a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 int\u00e9gr\u00e9e. L'entreprise collabore actuellement avec un certain nombre d'organisations sur des projets de recherche. Apple a d\u2019ailleurs annonc\u00e9 une collaboration avec l'\u00e9cole de sant\u00e9 publique T.H.
