L'universit\u00e9 de Twente, en collaboration avec d'autres chercheurs et professionnels, vient de lancer l'application gratuite Compas-Y<\/a>. Cette derni\u00e8re a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7ue comme un outil de soutien pour les personnes ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9cemment diagnostiqu\u00e9es positives \u00e0 un cancer. Elle cherche principalement \u00e0 les accompagner et \u00e0 accro\u00eetre leur r\u00e9silience. Sponsoris\u00e9 par le KWF, ce nouvel outil a principalement \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 autour du concept d'auto-compassion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

L'application aura mis deux ans \u00e0 voir le jour. Pour y parvenir, de nombreux intervenants ont \u00e9t\u00e9 impliqu\u00e9s dans son d\u00e9veloppement, \u00e0 commencer par le Medisch Spectrum Twente (MST), l'universit\u00e9 de Twente, le centre m\u00e9dical universitaire de Groningue (UMCG) ou encore des infirmi\u00e8res. En outre, des psychologues, des canc\u00e9rologues et des patients partenaires ont \u00e9galement contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 sa cr\u00e9ation. L'\u00e9quipe de recherche charg\u00e9e du projet a en effet interrog\u00e9 17 personnes atteintes d'un cancer. Elles ont pu ainsi permettre de mettre en place des solutions num\u00e9riques adapt\u00e9es en fonction des besoins sp\u00e9cifiques des malades venant d\u2019\u00eatre diagnostiqu\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Avant de commencer le d\u00e9veloppement de l'application, l'\u00e9quipe \u00e0 l\u2019origine du projet a examin\u00e9 les solutions existantes.<\/a> Leur but ? D\u00e9terminer ce qu\u2019il manquait vraiment aux patients et mieux comprendre ce que vivaient les personnes r\u00e9cemment diagnostiqu\u00e9es. Apr\u00e8s cette analyse, plusieurs pistes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9labor\u00e9es afin d\u2019\u00eatre test\u00e9es. Des infirmi\u00e8res et des malades ont alors r\u00e9pondu \u00e0 une s\u00e9rie d\u2019exercices d'auto-compassion lors d'ateliers sp\u00e9cifiques organis\u00e9s \u00e0 Groningue et \u00e0 Enschede. Sur la base de ces r\u00e9sultats, les fondateurs de Compas-Y ont pu s\u00e9lectionner les th\u00e9matiques les plus pertinentes pour leur application. Parmi eux se trouvent : la fixation de limites, les bons soins corporels, l'attention port\u00e9e \u00e0 la positivit\u00e9, la demande d'aide et la sexualit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Les b\u00e9n\u00e9fices de l\u2019auto-compassion<\/h3>\n

Selon les fondateurs de l\u2019application, l'entra\u00eenement \u00e0 l'auto-compassion permet de r\u00e9duire le stress, la culpabilit\u00e9, la morosit\u00e9 et la peur chez les patients atteints d\u2019un cancer. D\u2019apr\u00e8s leur expertise, cela favorise une attitude b\u00e9n\u00e9fique et renforce le mental dans les moments difficiles. Il n\u2019est pas question de nier la douleur ou le chagrin, mais bien d\u2019aider le patient \u00e0 prendre du recul face \u00e0 sa situation afin de garder espoir et de rester positif. L'objectif des exercices propos\u00e9s est que les utilisateurs se sentent mieux dans leur peau et soient moins critiques envers eux-m\u00eames.<\/p>\n

Les principes de l\u2019application<\/h3>\n

Les malades peuvent utiliser l'application selon leur rythme et quand ils le veulent. Compas-Y propose une mini-formation d\u00e9coup\u00e9e en plusieurs parties qui sont mises en ligne chaque semaine. Elle comprend des exercices \u00e0 faire, des informations et des t\u00e9moignages d'autres personnes sous forme d'images, de vid\u00e9os et d\u2019article. Une fois cette \u00e9tape pass\u00e9e, de nouveaux sujets et exercices apparaissent toutes les semaines. De plus, l'application a mis en place un suivi des \u00e9motions, bas\u00e9 sur les questions compl\u00e9t\u00e9es par l'utilisateur. L'application envoie \u00e9galement des tests et des textes d'inspiration. Enfin, il existe des liens vers des informations fiables. Par exemple, sur l'auto-compassion, le cancer et tout ce qui est impliqu\u00e9 dans le processus de traitement.<\/p>\n

Recherche et utilisation gratuite de l'application<\/h3>\n

Plusieurs h\u00f4pitaux utiliseront Compas-Y \u00e0 des fins de recherche. C\u2019est notamment le cas de Zuyderland, le Medisch Spectrum Twente et le Universitair Medisch Centrum Groningen. Les patients de ces h\u00f4pitaux se verront ainsi proposer l'application. Cette p\u00e9riode de \u00ab tests \u00bb a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9vue afin de savoir si l\u2019outil d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 pla\u00eet et si les th\u00e9matiques ainsi que les contenus sont b\u00e9n\u00e9fiques aux patients.<\/p>\n

Parall\u00e8lement, les adultes diagnostiqu\u00e9s positifs \u00e0 un cancer au cours de l'ann\u00e9e \u00e9coul\u00e9e peuvent s'inscrire via le site web Compas-Y. L'acc\u00e8s est gratuit, mais ils devront y consacrer environ deux heures par semaine afin de remplir un certain nombre de questionnaires. Ces donn\u00e9es r\u00e9colt\u00e9es constituent la base de travail des chercheurs. Apr\u00e8s quelques semaines, les utilisateurs sont invit\u00e9s \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 un certain nombre de questions via WhatsApp. En participant de la sorte au projet, ils recevront 11,20 euros, sous forme d'un bon d'achat VVV.
