Un rapport d'IQVIA, Institute for Human Data Science a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que le march\u00e9 des applications de sant\u00e9 num\u00e9rique est en plein essor, avec plus de 350 000 plates-formes d\u00e9sormais disponibles. Une hausse consid\u00e9rable qui fait \u00e9cho aux changements des habitudes d\u2019utilisations des usagers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Plus de 90 000 nouvelles applications de sant\u00e9 en ligne grand public ont \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9es sur les plateformes de t\u00e9l\u00e9chargements en 2020. Un nombre colossal puisque cela repr\u00e9sente en moyenne pr\u00e8s de 250 par jour. Il existe ainsi d\u00e9sormais plus de 350 000 applications de sant\u00e9 num\u00e9rique. Beaucoup d'entre elles sont ax\u00e9es sur le bien-\u00eatre et la forme physique, mais de plus en plus concernent des troubles sp\u00e9cifiques.<\/p>\n

Des applications mieux cibl\u00e9es<\/h3>\n

Ces applications ax\u00e9es sur la gestion de maladies sp\u00e9cifiques repr\u00e9sentent d\u00e9sormais pr\u00e8s de la moiti\u00e9 (47 %) de l\u2019offre du march\u00e9, contre 28 % en 2015. Environ la moiti\u00e9 d\u2019entre elles sont destin\u00e9es aux patients diab\u00e9tiques, aux personnes atteintes de maladies cardiovasculaires ou encore de troubles mentaux. Le rapport souligne \u00e9galement la croissance des offres num\u00e9riques destin\u00e9es \u00e0 la th\u00e9rapie et aux soins num\u00e9riques, notamment pour les pathologies neurologiques et de sant\u00e9 mentale. Ainsi, les consommateurs peuvent d\u00e9j\u00e0 t\u00e9l\u00e9charger environ 150 de ces applications sp\u00e9cifiques con\u00e7ues pour traiter \u00e0 distance une maladie.<\/p>\n

G\u00e9n\u00e9ralisation de leur utilisation<\/h3>\n

Selon le rapport, les scientifiques s'int\u00e9ressent de plus en plus \u00e0 ces applications num\u00e9riques de sant\u00e9. Depuis 2007, plus de 2 000 \u00e9tudes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9es sur leur efficacit\u00e9 dont pas moins de trois quarts ont \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9es au cours des cinq derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es.
\nMurray Aitken, vice-pr\u00e9sident senior et directeur de l'IQVIA, voit dans cette \u00e9volution la preuve de l\u2019incroyable avanc\u00e9e que permettent ce type d\u2019outils en ligne. D\u2019apr\u00e8s son analyse, le nombre d'applications num\u00e9riques de sant\u00e9 n\u2019a cess\u00e9 d\u2019accro\u00eetre depuis 2013, mais il constate surtout que celles-ci sont de meilleure qualit\u00e9 et s\u2019inscrivent r\u00e9ellement dans le traitement et le diagnostic des troubles. Certaines applications font d\u2019ailleurs partie int\u00e9grante du processus de soins du patient.<\/p>\n

L\u2019impact de la pand\u00e9mie<\/h3>\n

IQVIA r\u00e9v\u00e8le que la crise du coronavirus a entra\u00een\u00e9 une utilisation exponentielle des outils de sant\u00e9 en ligne. Le type d'applications t\u00e9l\u00e9charg\u00e9es a aussi chang\u00e9 pendant la pand\u00e9mie. Le bureau de recherche a constat\u00e9 une hausse des t\u00e9l\u00e9chargements dans les zones \u00e0 fort taux d'infection par la COVID-19, destin\u00e9s principalement aux wearables qui mesurent le niveau d'oxyg\u00e8ne dans le sang (saturation). En outre, l'appli de t\u00e9l\u00e9sant\u00e9 Doximity, qui permet d\u2019\u00eatre rapidement mis en relation \u00e0 distance avec un m\u00e9decin, a \u00e9t\u00e9 t\u00e9l\u00e9charg\u00e9e 38 fois plus souvent l'an dernier qu'en 2019. Les applications destin\u00e9es aux activit\u00e9s de remise en forme, au suivi de la tension art\u00e9rielle et aux soins mentaux ont \u00e9galement connu une popularit\u00e9 nettement sup\u00e9rieure.<\/p>\n

L\u2019essor que connaissent les applications d\u2019e-sant\u00e9 est en partie d\u00fb \u00e0 l'int\u00e9r\u00eat des march\u00e9s financiers. Les investissements dans les soins de sant\u00e9 num\u00e9riques ont explos\u00e9 cette ann\u00e9e. Au premier semestre 2021, 14,7 milliards de dollars ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 investis dans les soins num\u00e9riques. C'est nettement plus que l'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re. Alors que \u00ab seulement \u00bb 2,9 milliards de dollars ont \u00e9t\u00e9 collect\u00e9s au cours du premier trimestre de 2020, ce montant s'\u00e9levait d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e0 7,1 milliards de dollars pour la p\u00e9riode de janvier \u00e0 mars 2021.<\/p>\n

D\u00e9bat public sur les soins num\u00e9riques<\/h3>\n

Aux Pays Bas, la popularit\u00e9 des applications destin\u00e9es aux soins de sant\u00e9 num\u00e9riques suscite peu \u00e0 peu un d\u00e9bat public. Les assureurs de sant\u00e9 n\u00e9erlandais et la F\u00e9d\u00e9ration des patients des Pays Bas veulent que les malades aient le droit de choisir les soins num\u00e9riques.
