Microsoft a rachet\u00e9 l\u2019entreprise de technologie d'intelligence artificielle Nuance pour 19,7 milliards de dollars. Cela en fait la plus grosse acquisition de Microsoft depuis le rachat de LinkedIn en 2016 pour 24 milliards de dollars. Microsoft affirme qu'avec l'acquisition de Nuance, il va doubler sa part de march\u00e9 dans le secteur des soins de sant\u00e9 pour ainsi potentiellement porter ses revenus futurs \u00e0 500 milliards de dollars.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nuance est une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 am\u00e9ricaine cot\u00e9e en bourse, sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e dans les logiciels de reconnaissance vocale bas\u00e9s sur l'IA et le cloud computing. Fond\u00e9e en 1992 \u00e0 Boston, elle est devenue au cours des vingt derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es l'une des plus grandes entreprises de logiciels des \u00c9tats-Unis. Elle a ainsi collabor\u00e9 avec Apple dans le pass\u00e9 pour d\u00e9velopper l'assistant vocal virtuel Siri, bas\u00e9 sur la reconnaissance vocale et la linguistique informatique. Au cours des 15 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, Nuance a acquis plus de 50 entreprises. Plus de 7.000 personnes travaillent aujourd'hui pour cette entreprise. Au cours des deux derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, Microsoft et Nuance ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 collabor\u00e9 \u00e9troitement dans le domaine du d\u00e9veloppement de logiciels d'IA. En raison de la crise du coronavirus, les soins de sant\u00e9 num\u00e9riques ont pris de l'ampleur, entra\u00eenant une demande croissante pour les services de Nuance.<\/p>\n

Reconnaissance vocale dans les soins de sant\u00e9<\/h3>\n

Nuance propose notamment une plateforme de cloud computing via Microsoft Azure. Les flux de travail sont automatis\u00e9s et les enregistrements audio cliniques entre les patients et les m\u00e9decins (via des t\u00e9l\u00e9consultation, par exemple) sont stock\u00e9s et analys\u00e9s. Avec le programme Dragon Ambient eXperience (DAX), les conversations du m\u00e9decin et les notes dict\u00e9es par le m\u00e9decin sont transcrites en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et converties en texte organis\u00e9 par th\u00e8me. Les sp\u00e9cialistes du langage m\u00e9dical et les m\u00e9decins peuvent ensuite v\u00e9rifier et affiner ces projets de documents num\u00e9riques. Cela permet de gagner du temps par rendez-vous avec le patient et la conversation est stock\u00e9e plus efficacement, tout en \u00e9tant analys\u00e9e pour les moments futurs. Sur la base des outils de mesure, des suggestions et des pr\u00e9visions sont alors faites concernant les processus de travail internes et l'am\u00e9lioration du service au patient.<\/p>\n

Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un assistant vocal virtuel et \u00e0 un chatbot automatis\u00e9, les m\u00e9decins peuvent se voir confier encore plus de t\u00e2ches. Ils ne sont plus directement impliqu\u00e9s dans la prise de rendez-vous ou la r\u00e9daction des ordonnances m\u00e9dicales. Cette communication a lieu entre l'ordinateur et le patient. En outre, la reconnaissance vocale permet de rechercher rapidement des documents m\u00e9dicaux, ce qui prend encore beaucoup de temps actuellement. Nuance dispose d\u2019une importance base de soutien aux \u00c9tats-Unis. Plus des trois quarts des h\u00f4pitaux utilisent d\u00e9sormais au moins un service Nuance. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cette acquisition, Microsoft reprend \u00e9galement une importante base de clients.<\/p>\n

Le point de d\u00e9part de Microsoft est d'offrir des soins plus efficaces, de mani\u00e8re s\u00fbre et fiable, \u00e0 l'aide de logiciels intelligents. En novembre dernier, Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare a \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9. Il peut \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme le pendant de la plate-forme Amazon Health and Life Sciences. La plate-forme Microsoft est un lieu o\u00f9 les prestataires de soins de sant\u00e9 peuvent utiliser des logiciels qui, par exemple, peuvent accro\u00eetre la participation des patients, rendre les processus de travail plus efficaces et am\u00e9liorer la collaboration entre les sp\u00e9cialistes de la sant\u00e9.
